The -bd argument tells sendmail to run as a daemon. It will fork and run in the background. The -q10m argument tells sendmail to check its queue every ten minutes. You may choose to use a different queue to check time. The runq command is usually a symlink to the sendmail binary and is a more convenient form of:. Start Newer 1 Older End 1. Hello and thanks for your help! Hi IrieStudio, When you try to do something through the server, such as sending a mail, everything is logged in a document through the server as well. If you contact GoDaddy and ask if they can check the error logs on why your emails are being failed to send, they can give you an explanation, hopefully.
Hi and welcome, IrieStudio! Check with your host as to what their recommendations are for the mail settings in your global configuration each host can have different recommended settings. If you configure it using SMTP, you'll be able to check the server log to see what errors if any are occurring with the automated emails and that will help narrow down the cause. If you use PHP mailer, however, no error logs are kept.
